So... updates....
Well... I'm officially back in uni... as my internship is about to start. Slightly unnerving but also exciting. So... it's been almost a week since I've been back and well I've been chilling before the start of all the work. Here are some of the movies I've caught recently...
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Well... after 10 years... undoubtedly this was one of the biggest summer movie this year. And after watching it... I have to say it did live up to its expectations. From the first time I saw the film which was... when I was 12... I think and at that point... I couldn't even understand most of the words being spoken in the film and had to rely on the malay subtitles. But now... things were different and so was the CGI in the film. When compared with the first film, much have been improved. And the actors have grown up too along the process. As the franchise came to an end.... we had to bid farewell to these familiar characters as everyone moved on. Overall, the film was enjoyable and definitely worth the wait for the second part. However.. some scenes could have been improved to bring out the emotions from the audience more. And last but not least.. the actors in the film... truly a magnificent cast! From Helena Bonham Carter to Ralph Fiennes to Alan Rickman and many many more which I can't even begin to list! It's been a great journey watching these films and truly a bittersweet ending. :)

2. Captain America: The First Avenger

I have to say... I was a bit skeptical about this film when I heard it and didn't bother to pay much attention to it aside from knowing that Chris Evans was signed on as the lead. But somehow as the date came nearer to the release of the film, I finally checked out the film's trailer and was a tad bit surprise to see a 'shrink' version of Chris Evans and somehow it made his head appeared larger than usual. As I watched the film, I had to say it was entertaining and definitely had its moments. Taking into account the usual kicking ass scenes, the actors such as Hugo Weaving, Chris Evans and Tommy Lee Jones delivered pretty solid performance.

3. Super

This film to me resembled a little like Kick-Ass just a lil' bit more vulgar and a lil' bit more gory. Starring Rainn Wilson as an ordinary folk leading a simple life without much expectations from anyone and when he lost his wife to a drug dealer, things starts to change. He believed that his destiny was to be a superhero and so he did. However, lacking skills and knowledge, he was soon joined by a sort of maniacal comic book geek, Boltie, his sidekick, portrayed by Ellen Page. The movie have its surprising moments and with some pretty good acting by the main actors. To me Ellen Page was the biggest surprise in the film... the way she portrayed the character was in some ways definitely out of her usual element and that to me was a really good move. I can't wait to see more of her.

Well.. that's pretty much it.
More later...
Byeee!
