I'm Yours

Hi all! :)

How are you guys?

I finally had my first 3D experience in the movies today. It was undoubtedly Transformers: Dark of the Moon. :P Michael Bay as usual did not fail his audience and did a magnificent job with the visual effects and the 3D effects. That people actually feel that it's worth the money. As for the acting wise... a lot of new cast members... such as John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand and finally Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro returned to reprise their roles in the film's trilogy.

This time around there's more action scenes with both the humans and the robots. Both are equally kick-ass! :) However, in my point of view, the movie was a tad-bit too long... or maybe it was just me with the 3D experience for the first time. I can only tell when I watch it in 2D. Nonetheless, the movie was awesome! Mr. Bay had once again delivered a great piece. Some even say it was the best Transformers movie so far. :)

Aside from this... I've also managed to catch Blitz in the cinemas... It was either I was too exhausted when I was watching it or it was really as bad as I thought it was. I actually fell asleep in the cinema for the first time ever. Jason Statham was doing his usual kicking ass routine but somehow to me that didn't seem enough... But it could also be due to the fact that Malaysian cinemas had cut off most of the swearing parts as well as some scenes if I'm not mistaken.

Besides all this talk about movies... I've managed to have the opportunity to sort of photograph 2 conferences held by the university. It was definitely a whole new experience because it's very unlike the usual student events I photographed. This time around it's more formal... more serious environment and dealing with staff from the university. The first conference was just nice... it wasn't too long hours and it wasn't too dull either. I loved the topics being presented and the fact that it was presented by PhD students... it was interesting. Although I only had one day for each conference to photograph... it was still a good experience. As for the second one.. it was a little bit bigger in scale. It was hosted by the uni as well as the ministry and launched by the prime minister. For once I was trying to photograph alongside quite a bit of professional photographers and journalists. It was something.... Though I totally lost it that day but it was fun. :P

Anyhow... till next time....

Au Revoir! :)
